My "Surprise Lunch" and "New binge watch" weekend in pictures

The 2 or 3 weekends heading into Christmas are usually very busy weekends in the radio business. Here at WSUS Steve Allan and I having been working very hard while we're not on the air to put together extra holiday programming like our now virtual Kids Christmas Concert Series and Pay it Forward (with Franklin Sussex Auto Mall). So this past Saturday we were both at the radio station trying to stay ahead of everything. Which now seems like a very good idea with the potential for snow and even more work coming in the middle of the week. A few weeks ago Steve Allan celebrated the 10th anniversary of his 29th birthday. We always celebrate each other's birthdays by going out to lunch. This year we've been so busy at work we've had no time to go out and celebrate. Saturday was the perfect opportunity to make up for lost time. Steve and I left work for a little while and had an awesome lunch at Granny's in Hamburg. The staff there is so friendly and the food was great! How Steve can eat extra spicy chicken wings at 11:30 in the morning is beyond me. I enjoyed a more easy going grilled cheese, bacon and tomato on rye. Then it was back to the radio station do produce and upload this week's Kids Christmas Concert Series virtual performances. When I got home it was time to relax and escape so I started to watch Cobra Kai on Netflix. Everyone who has seen it told me it was good so I gave it a try. By the time the weekend was over I had binge watched the entire first season. I highly recommend this show. The kid actors in the show are great. The scripts are funny and the story line ties in wonderfully with the Karate Kid movies of the 1980's. By the way, Ralph Macchio is my age and he looks like he's 40. There was one very funny moment this Sunday Morning at my house with my grand daughter Gracie. My ex-wife ordered some very special bath bombs for Gracie as an early Christmas gift and they arrived in a plain looking box Sunday Morning. A few days ago when Gracie didn't clean her room. I told her if she didn't listen to her mommy she might get a bag of coal from Santa for Christmas instead of toys. So when the plain looking box came and none of us knew what it could be. Gracie looked at the box and said: "Grandpa I hope it's not a bag of coal." She was very happy when we opened the box and found her bath bombs from grandma. Which actually looked and smelled really delicious.
