My Christmas Moring "Surprise" Weekend in Pictures

Well let me begin by saying the best gift I could ever get each year is a happy healthy family. To me what's just as important is that all of my kids and their partners get along. Which makes for very nice holiday celebrations. This Christmas Santa actually stopped at two houses for my grand kids Gracie and Christopher. On Christmas Eve continued what has recently become a family tradition by having a family dinner at my son Matt's home in Port Jervis. My daughter uncle Matt and Aunt Jess and Uncle James and Aunt Makayla bought the kids Christmas outfits. Which were absolutely adorable. When we arrived we found out Santa had just left gifts under the tree! On Christmas Morning we all woke up to quite a surprise. A loud explosion just before 6 o'clock and seconds later no power. Right down the road a large tree had fallen on power wires and the damage was extensive. The explosion happened at the sub station around the corner. On Christmas Morning we opened gifts by flash light and candle light. I think Christopher had more fun with one of the flash lights than any of his other presents. When life gives you lemons make lemonade. I told my kids I didn't need anything but they spent a few bucks and got me an air fryer so I can eat healthier meals. I can't wait to learn how to use it. When we realized the power would be out all day Kim's boyfriend was able to borrow a generator and we had some power by 12 noon. Enough to cook Christmas Dinner and watch TV. We had no heat so I had to get the gas fireplace going. I also did a Zoom call with 3 of my cousins Christmas Afternoon. My cousin Roger recently adopted a cat from a shelter where he lives in Arizona. She loves to sleep in their Christmas Tree. Our power was finally restored at 6AM Saturday Morning. After such a crazy Christmas I dedicated Saturday to doing almost nothing but relaxing and watching Cobra Kai on Netflix. On Sunday I went to church and used my Kohl's Cash to buy new underwear. There's no need for a picture of that. I hope your Christmas was less chaotic but as full of love as mine was.
