Murphy says Federal $300 unemployment benefit won't be delayed

Yesterday Governor Phil Murphy told New Jersey residents "We're on it." As he announced Federal Extended Unemployment benefits of $300 won't be help up because President Trump delayed signing the new Coronavirus Stimulus Bill. Thomas Wright a Labor Department spokesman said: " There will be no delay or lag for eligible claimants in the programs that were just extended. We fully expect to see due payments reach debit cards and bank accounts as expected." The Governor said there was no need for the delay in the first place but that he agreed with President Trump's call for more stimulus. Murphy said " This was the wrong way to go about it."
