I drove past the McDonald's in Milford, Pennsylvania yesterday and didn't know why Happy Meal purchases were being limited. This morning I realized why. It's the 25th Anniversary Pokemon Cards that are being given out as the toy. Adult collectors are snatching up as many Happy Meals as they can. The promotion just launched this week and Happy Meals are already in short supply. Each pack comes with 4 cards. There are 50 cards to collect in all. Half of the cards are regular and half are "foil." The foil cards are more valuable to collectors. Good luck finding a Happy Meal for your kids this weekend. You'll probably have to order a la carte. This is why we can't have nice things.
