My "Bubbles never get old" Weekend in pictures

My daughter Kim and I struggled to get a good picture of Christopher enjoying the bubbles we were blowing. The one in this post is the best we could do. Take my word for it. He loves bubbles. Trying to catch them and just watching them float though the air. Watching a toddler get excited about bubbles is one of life's simple but wonderful moments. Some of my grandson's new words are "bubbles" "balloon" and "Maddie." As you can see from the other picture of him in this post. He already knows how to watch videos on a phone. The weekend also included finishing another small project with Kim's boyfriend. The back splash behind the kitchen sink came out great. As we finished up I started to think about all the little projects we've done in the house over the years. Sometimes it's the little projects that go a long way toward making a home much nicer. Without spending a lot of money. In the kitchen we tried fresh Boboli Pizza crusts for the first time. Then I made fresh asparagus as a side dish. The Boboli Pizzas were great. Thank You to my son Matt who brought them to us. The fresh asparagus came out great too. I love asparagus but every time I've tried to make it myself. It's come out tough and stringy. So I did some research and followed Martha Stewart's simple recipe this time. The asparagus came out very tender and delicious. Just cut of the woody ends and spread out the asparagus in a pan. Cover with water. Add some salt and pepper. Then cover the pan and boil for 7 minutes. Thank You Martha.
