Franklin man gets 10 years for "significant" drug dealing operation

Tamarri Valentine's defense attorney said he had a "tough life." Brian Kenny told Judge Louis Sceusi his client was taken from his mother's home when he was five. Spent years in foster homes and the "abuse took it's toll." Kenny wnt on to say: "He's not a bad person. He's just made a lot of mistakes." Assistant Sussex County Prosecutor Jerome Neidhardt countered by saying Valentine was running "one of the more significant for profit drug dealing operations" the prosecutors office has investigated. Last year police seized 600 bags of heroin and a jar of fentanyl in Valentine's Franklin Borough apartment. Judge Sceusi decided to sentence Valentine to 10 years in prison. He will be eligible for parole in about 4 years. He was also given credit for serving 1 year in the Morris County jail.
