My Less Than Epic Weekend After Testing Positive

Well this was definitely an unforgettable Epic Weekend In Pictures. Friday morning I learned of myself testing Positive for Covid-19. I used the at home Pixel Labcorp test which I highly recommend. I was able to get it for free from Sussex County Division Health department. Once I was exposed to a colleague at work who tested Positive, I wanted to test myself despite being symptom free out of an abundance of caution. I'm very grateful I tested myself. I would rather at least know I have it and stay away from everyone as opposed to accidentally spreading the virus.

Talk about adventure filled. Once learning I tested Positive, I drove up to Poughkeepsie so they could leave an iHeart Mobile rig outdoors for me to pick up. I'll be attempting to learn how to operate that this week and do my show from my living room. Talk about irony. When I was 12 years old I would do fake radio shows in my bedroom. All these years later, this week it looks like I'll be doing my real radio show from my living room. My family has been wonderful and supportive checking in on me all weekend, and several friends called me figuring I was bored. They were right. Years ago one of my friends Sally referred to me as a "social animal." As I'm quarantining home alone I'm learning she was absolutely right.

Saturday morning I randomly went on a Boston kick and watched one of my favorite movies, The Departed. I always love seeing the Boston scenery. I made Awesome Girlfriend Megan watch it with me one time a couple years ago. I should have given her more of the back story and history. She was very upset when one after another one after another one dies in classic mob movie fashion. If I couldn't see Awesome Girlfriend Megan this weekend losing another one of our every other weekends together, at least I'll make the best of if watching a movie I love and she doesn't like.

I was so bored I watched The Departed TWICE, back to back times. I was totally at peace with my decision.

The Departed double play took me all the way up to when The Masters Golf was on TV. I'm SO grateful for The Masters Golf tournament that was on TV all weekend. I was so bored and this helped me fill up my weekend tremendously. Even though I'm only a casual golf fan, I swear you can smell the history from that Augusta, Georgia golf course.

Basically alternating watching The Departed, The Masters, and Bar Rescue. I was so grateful that Paramount brought back my Bar Rescue marathons on Sundays. It's always chicken soup for my soul.

It can be quite the mind bleep when you test Positive, knowing that so many people have died from this virus that I now have. I'm very grateful that I'm still symptom free days later after last Wednesday I tested myself.

It was definitely a less than Epic Weekend In Pictures, but I'm happy that I now know I'm Positive and didn't risk spreading it to someone I care about. Thank you for all of the love and support. Thank you for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. I'm going to try to keep resting, staying in, and hopefully soon again I'll be able to get back out there on the field.
