My Epic Quarantine Weekend Alone

What a wild ride the past 12 days have been. Thank you so much for your overwhelming love and support. I'm so thankful to be symptom free 12 days after testing Positive for Covid19. It's scary knowing you have something in you that has been fatal for hundreds of thousands of folks. I do sure miss seeing people. I'm very thankful that iHeart and our engineer in Chicago (my new fellow pet lover friend Karen) worked so hard to keep me on the air. I definitely miss being in our radio station and very much look forward to Thursday when I can hopefully make my return.

This won't be as Epic a post because there's only so much Epic comedy gold I can find when I'm quarantining alone. Friday night was a quiet night in watching television.

Saturday and Sunday - more of the same. I'm very happy I was able to enjoy a couple of good stogeys on my deck this weekend. I'm so grateful for my deck. My one bedroom condo has been wonderful for me these past 7 years. That being said, after being stuck in here nonstop for the past couple of weeks, my place is getting very small! Thank goodness for my large deck and decent spring weather.

By Saturday afternoon I was excited to watch PGA Golf on TV, but it was a blowout where the leading golfer had like a 9 stroke lead. It was too much of a blowout for me to get interested, so I rewatched The Departed movie yet again. It really is amazing they were able to assemble such an all star A Lister cast, from Matt Damon, Leo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Martin Sheen, Mark Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin, and more. Plus when it's based on the late mob boss Whitey Bulger, I'm happy to watch.

One thing that made me sad was not being able to attend a gender reveal party for my future stepdaughter, Cait. It's a special day but we all agreed it's best for me to keep staying in and away from everyone so we don't risk anyone's health and safety. That's okay, once I learned they're having a boy, I immediately started shopping on my phone. On Wednesday, they'll have what I think is a pretty awesome surprise. I'll try to remember to post the cute screen shot after they get their surprise in the mail.

Sunday afternoon I just spent relaxing on my deck with a bottle of Korbel champagne and a good cigar. We will take that victory.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. I'm VERY excited for next weekend when I can be safely past 14 days, and start seeing friends again. I can't wait to see Awesome Girlfriend Megan, I haven't seen her since testing Positive.
