New Jersey bee keeper wants to help you make it your new hobby

I've often thought about raising chickens if I ever get some free time. Until now being a bee keeper never entered my mind. Although I always enjoy meeting and interviewing the "Bee Queen" at the New Jersey State Fair. Raising bees has always been a fascinating and interesting topic for me. Now Frank Mortimer Vice President of The New Jersey Bee Keepers Association has written a new book that could help you get started raising bees and harvesting honey. Mortimer lives in Ridgewood and is an adjunct professor who teaches at Cornell University in the Master Bee Keepers Program. Mortimer's book is called "Bee People and the Bugs They Love." He describes bee keeping as a "quirky" hobby. Adding: "How else would you explain people who willingly choose to be around stinging insects."
