Montague School Board places superintendent on leave

The Montague Board of Education placed Superintendent Timothy Capone on paid administrative leave during it's meeting on Monday night. The vote was 5 to 2. Board President Barbara Holstein didn't give a reason for the board's actions. The resolution passed by the board only says Capone is " to do no further work on behalf of the board until further notice. Capone's was hired almost 4 years ago in May of 2017. During his time in Montague parents have complained about him to board members. Some of the controversies that angered parents included high turnover of staff and his social media posts that responded to his critics. He has also used the school's robocall system to call parents and criticize school board members.
