My " Good Progress" Weekend in Pictures

I wasn't sure if I should call this "my sense of accomplishment" weekend in pictures" or my "good progress" weekend in pictures. Both are good descriptions of what happened. "Good Progress" is a better description of everything as a whole. Friday when I got home from work I did more work in the front yard. Planting another small Azalea Bush. Now all of the shrubs destroyed by the big February snowstorm have been replaced. The front walkway garden looks better than ever. I can't wait to see all the flowering shrubs in bloom next spring. My grand daughter Gracie came home with her final progress report from pre-K on Friday as well. It said "Gracie has gained a ton of independence" and "she will rock kindergarten." I'm a very proud grandpa. Speaking of Gracie and good progress. Some of her caterpillars are now making cocoons. I did quite a bit of work outside in the front and back yards too. I spread weed and feed on Saturday. Then mowed on Sunday. Kim's boyfriend weed whacked right after. While all of this was getting done my beautiful cherry tree reached full bloom. I continued to get ready for next weekend's Matamoras Spring clean up day in between everything else. Last week I cleaned out the shed. This weekend I started to clean up the basement back room. I have a lot to get rid of this year but only limited space in back of my SUV. So I've been using my saws all to cut up the broken furniture that has to go. After 25 years that included a couple of the chairs from my oak dining room set. I have to admit. Cutting up old furniture was fun! On Sunday morning my youngest son James surprised us with a visit. He's a hard working busy young man. He doesn't have time to stop by as much as I'd like him to but I understand. Our dog Maddie misses seeing him as much as the rest of us do. She's excited from the time he gets there until the time he leaves. Getting her to hold still for a nice picture with him was almost impossible. I did the best I could. One more thing. I put my air fryer to good use on Sunday by making chicken wings. The only seasonings I used were salt and pepper. They came out great.
