Javelin impales teen at South Jersey High School

You should always stay far away from anyone throwing a javelin. This past Tuesday afternoon police were called to Donovan Catholic High School in Toms River after a 16 year old boy was impaled by a javelin throw. The javelin was lodged in the boys right thigh when police arrived. He was not bleeding. The young man was alert and talking to first responders throughout the whole incident. First Responders cut off the top of the javelin then transported the young man to Jersey Shore Medical Center. The full extent of his injuries is not known. He remained in the hospital yesterday.
