A New Jersey School Superintendent wants masking in schools to end

One Ocean County School Superintendent wants Governor Murphy to stop requiring teachers and students to wear masks in schools. Central Regional Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides has written the governor asking him to rescind his executive order "so students can breathe and that at graduation, parents can see their children's smiling face." New Jersey continues to require indoor face mask wearing even though the C.D.C. has said people who are fully vaccinated don't need to wear face masks in most indoor situations. In his letter Parlapanides tells the governor: "10 percent of all documented COVID 19 cases have been children between the ages of 5 and 17 and that infected children mostly report no symptoms or mild illness. All teachers who wanted to be vaccinated have been vaccinated so teachers are now safe in the classroom." I hope there are more school superintendents out there who are now willing to speak up the way this one just did.
