Horses are amazing animals. That's why so many people love them. When I was growing up my dad used to help his friend care for her horse. Taking good care of a horse requires hard work and dedication. Our student of the month Lauren Guerriero takes great care of her horse and works two jobs to help pay for everything he needs. She also takes the time to learn as much as she can about horses in 4H. Recently, she showed she was one of the most knowledgeable high school students in New Jersey by coming in 5th place statewide in the 4H Horse Bowl. While doing all this Lauren also was named to the National Honor Society, National Technical Honors Society and Spanish Honors Society at Sussex Tech. This September Lauren plans to attend Centenary College and major in equine studies. She'll also be trying out for the equine riding team. Today on the WSUS Morning Show Lauren was awarded a $50 Amazon gift card from Transoptions and a $50 Visa Gift Card from Visions Federal Credit Union. Great work Lauren!
