We do have clouds and rain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday. Hopefully, this won't cause any last minute cancellations of fireworks displays in our area. Since July 4th comes on a Sunday this year. Many people are off work July 5th. So there are fireworks displays planned all 3 nights of the long weekend. Here's where they are in our area:
Friday July 2nd-The City of Port Jervis will have it's annual fireworks display starting at dusk. The fireworks will be shot from Point Peter.
Saturday July 3rd-
In Sparta the Elks parade steps off at 10:30 and there will be fireworks over Lake Mohawk starting at 9 PM.
In Vernon there will be fireworks at Mountain Creek on the great lawn. Park across the street in the general admission parking lot.
In Blairstown there will be fireworks at North Warren High School starting at PM
Sunday July 4th-
At Skylands Stadium in Augusta the Sussex County Miners will have their biggest fireworks display after their game.
The Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club's annual fireworks display will also take place Sunday evening.
