Here are the 8 New Jersey Counties where indoor masking is recommended

Just when you thought it was safe to take off your mask. The C.D.C. has done another about face and now strongly recommends that people wear masks indoors in areas where COVID transmission rates are high. The recommendation is for everyone vaccinated or not. Only one New Jersey county is in the red zone. According to the CDC, the transmission rate in Monmouth County is high. Seven other counties have what the C.D.C. calls a substantial rate of transmission. Those counties are: Bergen, Essex, Union, Middlesex, Ocean, Burlington and Atlantic. The counties in Northwest New Jersey including Sussex, Warren and Morris are not on the list where indoor masking is recommended.
