Sussex County will have several September 11th ceremonies on Saturday

I was on the air the morning of September 11th 20 years ago. If you were alive it was a day you'll never forget. The last 20 years have passed quickly. I knew Bob Cirri who was one of the Port Authority Police Officers who died that day. Several Sussex County residents died that day including Joseph Vilardo from Stanhope. West Milford resident Jeremy Glick was a one of the passengers who fought back on United Flight 93. It's hard to believe anyone 25 or younger probably doesn't remember the day at all. Which is why ceremonies like the ones we're having in Sussex County and the surrounding area are so important.

At 8:30 there will be an early morning ceremony at Cassel Field at Sparta High School.

At 9AM Sussex County PBA #138 will have their annual ceremony at the 911 Memorial on the campus of SCCC

At 9AM Vernon's ceremony will be at Veteran's Park.

At 10AM Hopatcong's ceremony will be at Fireman's Park

At 10AM Stanhope's ceremony will be at Musconetcong Park. Several members of the Vilardo Family will be there.

The Vietnam Veterans "Moving Wall" will be at Woodbourne Park in Wantage all day.

At 7PM at the Franklin Pond there will be a "Lights" Memorial.

At 7PM Just over the border Matamoras, Pennsylvania will have a "Candlelight" ceremony at the Veterans Park in Airport Park.

I've talked about most of these on the WSUS Morning Show already. Hopefully, putting everything together on my page will make finding a ceremony close to home easier.
