Deer causes fatal two car collision in Sussex County

The Sussex County Prosecutors Office continues to investigate a collision that took the life of a 19 year old woman Sunday Night on Route 94 in Newton. Investigators believe a deer jumped out in front of a Jeep near Yellow Frame Road. The driver of the Jeep lost control of the SUV crossed the double yellow line and collided with another vehicle. A 19 year old female passenger in the vehicle was killed. The 18 year old driver was seriously injured. He was flown to Morristown Medical Center. The prosecutors office has not released any names of those involved in the tragic accident. No charges have been filed. Drugs and alcohol don't appear to have been involved.
