New Jersey natives Jack Alexy and Nic Fink have made their mark at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, bringing home gold and silver medals respectively. Alexy, born in Morristown and raised in Mendham, won gold in the four-by-100 meter men's relay in his Olympic debut. Fink, also from Morristown, secured a silver medal in the 100-meter breaststroke.

21-year-old Alexy led the United States to victory in the 400-meter freestyle relay, securing the country's first gold medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Alexy, a 2021 graduate of Morris Township's Delbarton School, was the first to receive his gold medal after the race.

Fink, 30, stood on the podium alongside gold medalist Nicolo Martinenghi of Italy and Adam Peaty of Britain after the men's 100-meter breaststroke final. This is not Fink's first Olympic appearance; he finished fifth in the 200 m breaststroke at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo.

Both athletes are set to compete in additional events, with Alexy returning to the pool for the 100-meter freestyle individual prelims on July 30 and Fink potentially swimming in the 4×100 meter medley relay starting on Aug. 3.
