In honor of Veterans Day, New Jersey Transit is offering free rides to all veterans today. The gesture is a token of appreciation for the brave men and women who have served in the United States armed forces. To avail of the free service, active and retired military personnel are required to present identification confirming their military status.

In addition to the free rides on Veterans Day, NJ Transit is extending a special discount to military personnel and their dependents for the remainder of the year. By showing their valid ID cards, they can use the one-way discount ticket.

According to NJ Transit's website, the organization is committed to being an employer of choice for veterans and active military members, recognizing and valuing their unique experiences, skills, and knowledge. The special discount is one small token of New Jersey's appreciation for their service.
