Residents in northeast Pennsylvania, including Bushkill, Bethlehem, Doylestown, and Maidencreek Township, reported sightings of unidentified drones on Thursday night (December 12). These reports follow similar sightings across New Jersey, where drones have been spotted for weeks. The sightings have raised questions about the drones' origins and purposes.

According to WFMZ, the drones have been described as large, up to six feet in diameter, and sometimes flying with their lights off. They have been seen near sensitive areas, such as the Picatinny Arsenal and President-elect Donald Trump's golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. Despite the concerns, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy stated that the Department of Homeland Security has assured him the drones do not pose a threat to public safety.

The FBI is investigating the drone sightings and has requested that residents share any photos, videos, or information they may have. The drones are not believed to be operated by hobbyists, and their presence has prompted calls for action, including from U.S. Representatives Chris Smith and Jeff Van Drew, who have suggested military intervention.
