Millie Bobby Brown is sharing her thought about potentially starring in a Britney Spears biopic.
Speaking to Access Hollywood at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film The Electric Slate on Monday (February 24), the 21-year-old Stranger Things star addressed rumors that she could portray the princess of pop after her past comments expressing interest in the possibility, per People.
"I mean, she is an absolute icon," she said. "I would love nothing more than to be a part of her story."
However, Brown did note that it is all about how Spears would want her story to be told, stating, "But that's her story, and I am in full support of her bringing her story to life how she wants to."
Wanting to make sure Spears has control over her own story is a powerful thought given the pop icon's years-long and ultimately successful attempt to end the conservatorship she was placed in for 13 years of her life. Talks of a potential biopic ramped up last year after Universal Pictures secured the rights to her 2023 memoir The Woman In Me, which the film is reported to be based on, with Wicked's Jon M. Chu set to direct. He has also explained that Spears will be "very involved" in the process.
Brown isn't the only young starlet drawing comparisons to the 43-year-old "Toxic" singer. In a recent interview with The Independent, Tate McRae reacted to the "flattering and scary" comparisons made between herself and Spears.
