You might think it's a little early to start talking about school already but not really(sorry kids); it's just abut the mid-point of the summer vacation.  United Way of Northern New Jersey has the new school year in mind as they have begun looking for donations of new school supplies for its annual United Way Tools for School Drive.  More than 1100 elementary and middle school children of ALICE(Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families will benefit from this campaign.  Some of these families are living from paycheck to paycheck so there is a real need for help.  If you'd like to donate or even be a volunteer for this drive, go to   You'll find a list there too of the various school supplies needed.  Help our area children be prepared for success in the next school year.
