The tri-state areas summer landscape is slowly starting to turn into the crimson, copper, and orange colors of fall; the change is slow because of the warm type of weather this autumn.  Probably within a couple of weeks you'll see the complete transformation of those leaves as well as their covering on lawns; it'll be fall exercise time with the raking of the leaves.  If hiking is a favorite activity of yours, this might be a good time to see the beginning of those landscape changes of fall.
