Driver Charged With Vehicular Homicide After Crash Killed Her Passenger

As reported on NJ.com, a Morris County woman is now facing vehicular homicide charges after a single-vehicle crash that killed her passenger.

22-year-old Samantha Viscardi, of Rockaway, crashed in the area of Sam's Deli on Feb. 2 at the 400 block of Green Pond Road.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said the passenger was not identified, but had later died from injuries suffered from the crash.

Knapp also stated that initially, Viscardi had been charged with third-degree assault by auto but has now been charged with second-degree reckless vehicular homicide.

No other information has been provided by the prosecutor's office.
