A former Sussex County resident, now of Cresco, Pa. is facing charges after he allegedly sent nude photos of a 16-year-old Wantage girl to her friends and posted them on social media. Luis M. Montero was arrested following a multi-state investigation that began in April.
His Sussex County charges include second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree invasion of privacy – photograph and/or videotape intimate parts without consent. In Monroe County, Pa., he faces charges of attempted production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
The girl was pressured to send sexually explicit photos via Snapchat. When she refused to send more, Montero distributed the photos to her friends and posted them to an anonymous Instagram account.
The 19-year-old was arrested on June 8 and faces up to 30 years in prison if he is convicted on his Sussex County charges.
