NJ Attorney General Sued for Trying to Block 3D-Printed Gun Site

Defense Distributed, the Texas group that plans to share 3D-printed firearm designs online, is suing New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and City Attorney of Los Angeles Michael Feuer for trying to block state residents from accessing the website.

The company reached a settlement with the Department of Justice in July and is set to release the 3D-printed gun designs on August 1.

Grewal sent the group a cease-and-desist letter that stated the designs would "flood the illegal firearms market and pose a direct threat to the public safety of my state."

On Sunday morning Cody Wilson, the group's founder, tweeted that he has blocked New Jersey IP addresses from the site temporarily.
