Each year high school students sit down to take the SATs, but which schools have highest average scores? Data from 2017 shows that Sparta High School, Kittatinny Regional High School and Vernon Township High School were the top three public high schools in Sussex County as far as SAT scores are concerned.
According to NJ.com, the average SAT score in New Jersey is a 1,103 and the highest possible score is a 1,600. The average score for Sparta High School was a 1,160, Kittatinny Regional High School was a 1,151, and Vernon Township High School was a 1,142.
