"Guardians of The Galaxy" Cast Wants James Gunn Back

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" cast is showing support for James Gunn after he was fired over old tweets about rape and pedophilia. He was scheduled to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 before The Walt Disney Company severed ties with him.

The cast, who all signed a letter of support for the former director, includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and James' brother Sean Gunn. The letter states that the cast is not defending James' jokes but wanted to share their experience of working with him. They also included that they look forward to working with him in the future.

According to Deadline, some of the tweets in question were: “I like when little boys touch me in my silly place" and “The best thing about being raped is when you’re done being raped and it’s like ‘whew this feels great, not being raped!’”

James released a statement on Twitter regarding the offensive tweets. He wrote, "I used to make a lot of offensive jokes. I don’t anymore."
