More than 100 people gathered at Wheatsworth Field on Wednesday for the unveiling of a bench and monument in honor of Tommy Bock. The Sussex County Technical School student passed away last May after falling off his longboard and hitting his head.
Ferguson Funeral Home created the memorials and the cost was covered by both community donations and a fundraiser. According to the New Jersey Herald, state Senator Steve Oroho made a statement at the unveiling and one of Bock's close friends read a poem. At the end of the ceremony Bock's sister and grandparents released doves into the sky.
