Newton Police were able to prove a man was squatting in a woman's home by fingerprints he left on a liquor bottle. Thomas C. Rae was arrested last week on charges of theft, conspiracy and burglary.
The 52-year-old allegedly broke into the unoccupied home and stole more than $4,000 worth of stuff including a laptop, flat screen television and lawn mower. Officers found food in the fridge and beer cans in the garbage of the town home.
The home-owner said that the residence was unoccupied for over two years but she stops by to check on it.
