Stanhope Man Charged with Trafficking Stolen Property

A Stanhope resident has been charged with theft and trafficking in stolen property after the Byram Police Department received a call about someone removing items from a local business. Jason D. Hartman admitted to stealing some items and selling them as scrap metal. 

According to the New Jersey Herald, what the 50-year-old stole is valued at more than $700. Luckily, police were able to recover the items and they have since been returned to the rightful owner.
