The votes are in! Four former athletes will be inducted into the Sussex County Sports Hall of Fame on November 10 at Lake Mohawk Country Club. The votes were read yesterday at the Newton Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The inductees are:
- Connor Fox graduated from Pope John High School in 1998 and was nominated for his accomplishments in high school cross-country, basketball, track and college basketball. He currently lives in Rutherford with his wife and daughter.
- Kevin Pokrywa graduated from Newton High School in 2001 and was nominated for his accomplishments in high school football, basketball, baseball and college football. He currently lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife and son.
- Alexis Johnson graduated from Newton High School in 2001 and was nominated for her accomplishments in high school field hockey and basketball. She currently lives in Bradenton, Florida with her husband and two sons.
- Shannon McEvoy graduated from High Point Regional High School in 2007 and was nominated for her accomplishments in high school track and soccer.
