A Scranton mother of five died last week after her boyfriend cut wires underneath her car, including the brake line, to make a crack pipe. According to the New York Post, Tammy Fox was going 50 to 60 miles an hour when her car slammed into a tree.
WNEP reported that police originally though the crash was an "operator error" until a mechanical inspection revealed the cut brake line. John Jenkins, who has been charged with homicide, told police he doesn't know anything about cars and that he “cut anything from underneath the vehicle that could be used to smoke crack.”
The crash site is now a memorial to Fox and a GoFundMe called "Justice for Tammy" was created to cover the cost of funeral expenses.
