A Toms River man's right forearm is missing after it was severed in a motorcycle crash on Thursday morning. He was thrown over 300 feet during the incident and police are now asking for the public's help in locating the missing limb.
The man, Ronald Vanarsdale, survived the accident and was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for emergency surgery. There were reportedly several motorcycles drag racing near the J. Stanley Tunney Bridge when the crash happened.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or found the limb to call Toms River Police Officer Mark Nater at 732-349-0150 ext. 1336.
