The Franklin Planning Board has rejected plans for a 300-unit apartment complex off of Munsonhurst Road. According to the New Jersey Herald, the motion to approve the plans failed 4-5 and those who voted against it declined to comment why.

The idea was first pitched a year and a half ago and called for the construction of 10, 30-unit buildings. In addition to the apartments, the development was reportedly going to include a clubhouse, pool, and tennis and basketball courts. However, only 16 acres of the 70 acre property would be used for construction.
