A Hopatcong man, who was charged with terroristic threats after an altercation with his landlord, has been sentenced to three years probation. Scott McMichael, 59, pled guilty to the third degree crime back in July.

The incident reportedly involved a carton of eggs, a dumbbell, and a kitchen knife. Apparently the landlord had told police that the argument was about McMichael not paying rent and that the tenant threatened to kill him and tried to stab him.

The Sussex County Prosecutor's website noted that in addition to probation, McMichael must submit to a TASC evaluation, mental health evaluation, and DNA sample.
