NJ Man's Death Caused by West Nile Virus

There have been 25 cases of West Nile virus in the Garden State this year and now health officials are confirming that a Bergen County man's death was caused by the mosquito-transmitted virus. It's the first West Nile related death in New Jersey of 2018. 

According to NJ.com, Fred Maikisch, 62, was on life support for about a week before he passed away. He is survived by his wife and two children.
