Sparta Man Named as Driver in Accident that Killed a Pedestrian

A Sparta man has been named as the driver in a Clifton accident that killed a pedestrian on Sunday. According to the New Jersey Herald, Thomas Campbell was driving off Route 3 "around midnight when he collided with a pedestrian."

The 57-year-old stayed at the scene of the accident and no charges have been filed so far. 

The pedestrian, 36-year-old Virender Garg, was visiting the United States from his home country of India.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is asking anyone with information about the accident to contact them at 1-877-370-PCPO or via email tips@passaiccountynj.org.
