A Sparta man is facing charges that include driving while intoxicated in a school zone and reckless driving after he reportedly rear-ended a Ford SUV. After Sparta Police arrived at the scene of the motor vehicle accident Michael Familant allegedly told them that he was at a football game and drank too much.
According to the New Jersey Herald, the 29-year-old's breath smelled like alcohol, his eyes were bloodshot, and he was wearing his sweatshirt backwards. Familant was processed by police and then taken to Newton Medical Center.
