A Newton man was charged with child endangerment for allegedly keeping legal and illegal firearms in a room that was easily accessible to four kids. Patrick Bundrick, reportedly kept the guns in a hidden room behind a sliding bookcase in his house and was hiding in the room when police arrived on September 25 to execute a parole warrant.
The 42-year-old was allegedly using an alias while living with his girlfriend and her children and when police arrived Bundrick was nowhere to be found. Police knew he must be in the house because they saw him exit a room but they didn't find him until one of the kids told an officer that the bookcase moves.
His next court appearance is scheduled for October 29.
