The New Jersey Department of Health has confirmed a seventh child has died following the viral outbreak at a care facility. Health department spokeswoman Donna Leusner announced the news earlier today.

"The New Jersey Department of Health learned last night that unfortunately another child who was hospitalized due to adenovirus passed away yesterday. The young child's death was associated with the 12 confirmed cases of adenovirus among medically fragile children at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation."

The names of those who have passed away were not released but the ages reportedly ranged from toddlers to teenagers. The Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently closed and will remain closed to new patients until the outbreak is over and the facility is in full compliance.
