A Jefferson man was arrested for driving under the influence on September 19 after reportedly hitting another car on Route 15. That car then hit a gas station sign and the driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
After police arrived at the scene of the accident they allegedly found heroin in Timothy Ayers car. They arrested him and now the 40-year-old is facing several charges including aggravated assault and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
