A Middletown resident who broke into a Wantage home and sexually assaulted two 13-year-old girls has accepted a plea deal. Craig Lassiter reportedly admitted to entering the home through an open garage with the intent to burglarize it. He then saw the girls in their bedroom, threatened them with a gun, and forced them to perform sexual acts on him.
The 34-year-old also admitted to leaving the house in a stolen vehicle, abandoning it in a field and then fleeing the scene. He was arrested four days later and has pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual contact and burglary.
Lassiter accepted a plea deal that would send him to prison for 18 years with no possibility of parole. He would have to register as a Megan's Law sex offender and would be on parole supervision for life.
