A Franklin resident was charged with assaulting two police officers after she allegedly karate kicked them. The officers were reportedly responding to a call at Sheila Celentano's residence regarding a dispute with her daughter but when they arrived only Celentano was there.
The 43-year-old fought the officers, Patrolman Jeffrey Schneider and Sgt. Robert Vander Ploeg, and kicked them. In addition, she reportedly resisted arrest and the officers found that Celentano had a criminal warrant from Dover for failing to answer a disorderly conduct summons.
She is now facing charges that include aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
