You can't make this stuff up. A Florida man was attacked by a crocodile after he jumped into a pit at the St. Augustine Alligator farm while wearing rubber sandals, also known as Crocs. Brandon Hatfield reportedly broke in to the exhibit and spent several hours there before jumping in and swimming around with the creatures.
Workers discovered someone had broken in on Tuesday morning when they noticed damage to signs and lamps, blood near the exhibit, and shorts and Crocs in the pit. Officers tracked Hatfield down in a nearby neighborhood wearing nothing but his boxers and noticeable injuries to his leg and foot.
Hatfield insisted he was "held hostage in a pool with gators."
