A traffic stop for a brake light led to the arrest of a Montague woman on Tuesday, November 6. Erica Osborne was reportedly driving north on Route 15 when Sparta Police Officer Steven Guido pulled her over.
Osbourne allegedly had a wax fold of heroin on the front passenger floor of her car and when Guido asked her about it she said she hadn't used heroin in 10 years. The officer then searched the vehicle and reportedly found 16 wax folds of heroin.
The 39-year-old was charged with the following:
- Possession of heroin
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Throwing debris from a motor vehicle
- Maintenance of lamps
- Failure to produce documents
- Controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle
- Driving while suspended
