UPDATE: Police Identify Driver in Reported Andover Child Abduction Attempt

Andover Township Police have identified the driver from a reported child abduction attempt. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon after a student got off his school bus. 

The driver, described as a white male in his 20's or 30's with brownish red hair and a full bushy beard, had offered the student a ride in his black Saturn Sedan. The student refused the ride and reported the incident to an adult who then called the police.

The Andover Township Police Department posted the following update to their Facebook page:

Update Suspicious Incident from November 12, 2018

The vehicle from the reported suspicious incident in Andover Boro involving an Andover Regional School student has been located and the driver identified. There are no further details at this time as the New Jersey State Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
