Construction at American Dream Mega-Mall Continues, Waterslides Installed

After nearly a decade of on-again, off-again construction, the American Dream mega-mall, formerly known as the Meadowlands Xanadu, is getting closer to opening. Recent photographs show waterslides and roller coaster tracks have been installed at the property.

When it opens next fall, the American Dream will host 450 retail shops, dozens of restaurants, a Nickelodeon indoor theme park, indoor ski park, ice rink, waterpark, aquarium, and more. Shops set to open their doors on the 18-acre property include: Saks Fifth Avenue, Hermes, Lord & Taylor, Gap, Victoria's Secret, MAC, and Microsoft.

According to NJ.com the Nickelodeon themed park will host two record-breaking roller coasters, one for steepest drop and the other for longest free spinning coaster.
