Democratic Governor Phil Murphy has announced that grant agreement for immigrants facing deportation has been finalized. The agreement means that New Jersey has allocated $2.1 million to provide legal aid for low-income immigrants that are detained and facing deportation.
Specifically, $925,000 will go to Legal Services of New Jersey and the American Friends Service Committee and both Rutger's and Seton Hall's law schools will get $125,000 each.
